Lessons of Love
Bursting Through Knowledge and Power
As a Bursting Through Messenger, you have generously, graciously, and without hesitation shown extraordinary amounts of compassion, empathy, and love. Because of you, Bursting Through has emerged as one of the great teachers in my life and the lives of others.
Like all great teachers, you lead by example and guide through your actions. When you share what’s in your heart and how love presents itself as Allyship, you teach us that life is basically about love.
Your words show us that we often have to choose between love and something else, and when we choose love, we always choose the right thing. Your love lessons and our learning are cumulative.
Bursting Through just entered its fourth year of gathering Allyship Belief Statements, marked by new depths of emotions and unexpected patterns appearing. The message content and emotional experience seem to be evolving organically.
Historically, tears from Bursting Through Messengers have been uncommon. When I saw them, it was because a deep conversation unfolded that exposed buried emotions.
Recently, tears have become more common. Raw emotions are shown when people read other people's messages or leave brief messages without additional conversation. More than once this year, I’ve seen streams of tears from a parent of a Queer person who simply needed a safe place to release their feelings.
The 2025 message content has begun to transcend the basic commonality of Allyship to reveal what appears to be something bigger. Unrelated people at different times throughout the events leave similar messages showing common threads.
To date, the recurring themes are:
People should be and deserve to be loved for who they are.
We all need to speak up for each other and those we love.
We all belong, are in this together, and deserve love.
We all should stand up with and for those we love.
The lessons you, as a Bursting Through Messenger, will teach us moving forward are unknown but needed and will come from love. I can’t wait to learn and share your lessons of love.
